ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and released in November 2022. Its core function is to mimic human conversation and provide detailed and articulate responses. It’s time to learn about it because it’s here to stay. This session provides an overview of ChatGPT basics, how it’s changing the world and a hands on workshop teaching you how to use it. Class Qualifications:
You must have a free ChatGPT account or higher.
Signup Instructions for ChatGPT
- Sign up on OpenAI's Website:
a. Using a Computer/Laptop:
- Open your preferred web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox).
- In the address bar at the top, type www.openai.com and press 'Enter' on the keyboard.
- Look for a 'Sign Up' or 'Login' button, usually located at the top right corner.
- If you don’t have an account, click 'Sign Up'.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create an account. You will typically need to
provide an email address, create a password, and possibly verify your email.
b. Using a Smartphone or Tablet:
- Open your device’s web browser app (like Safari, Chrome, etc.).
- In the address bar, type `www.openai.com` and tap 'Go' or 'Enter'.
- Search for the 'Sign Up' or 'Login' option.
- Follow the same steps as described above for the computer/laptop.
2. Accessing ChatGPT:
- Once you're logged in, navigate to the products section or look for ChatGPT.
- Click on it to start using.
